Every year, some of the nattiest dressers from around the world gather at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy for what is undoubtedly the most important platform for showing menswear and launching new projects in men's fashion. First held in September 1972, Pitti Immagine Uomo has become synonymous with men's style, showing everything from staples and classics to the avant garde and wtf pieces - last year, I saw a photo of a guy wearing a jacket that was still in the basting phase. Last week, Pitti 86 came to life and thanks to social media and my ongoing desire to learn more about menswear, the faces were more familiar than ever. You know how there's that one event or thing you want to check out just once, just because? Well, Pitti just made that list. Meanwhile, I got my practice on at home. Lately, I've been rocking hats with virtually anything I wear and have picked up a few of them to support the new habit.
