When I first started thinking about heading to Florence for Pitti Uomo, I honestly wasn't quite sure what to expect, experience-wise.  However, I was fortunate enough to have Mark and Marlon Austin of Bespoke Twins to guide me and I must say, I had an unbelievable time.  Between the beauty of the city, exploring museums and churches, eating gelato with my wife and connecting with so many fellows who share a passion for menswear, whether simply as enthusiasts or members of the industry, it was an experience like no other.

With summer officially getting under way, St. Louis is getting warm and humid.  The heat, I'm generally alright with.  The humidity on the other hand?  I've got some choice words that I could use, but won't.

Last week, I decided it was time to pull the linen bits out of storage.  My somewhat obsessive compulsive nature has a hard time with linen because, wrinkles.  However, necessity forces flexibility.  So, while I haven't and probably will never spend anything even remotely decent on a linen suit simply because they are just not my thing, I do own a couple that come in handy.  I found this one at H&M about two years ago and after a couple of edits, have been quite pleased with it.  The quality of the linen is also surprising especially after comparing it to the linen separates they now carry.  I have also become a fan of the band collar because when it's hot, not having something laying on your neck is actually quite nice.
