Ever since coming across a photo of a lamb suede blouson on Tumblr, I've been on the search for one of my own.  I particularly wanted a vintage one that had been slightly worn in but still very serviceable.  After scouring eBay, StyleForum and Grailed for months, I found this one right in time for spring and at the right price.

When it comes to dress shirts, I typically only have a couple of settings; spread or cutaway.  However, as I was "editing" my wardrobe, I realized I'd never tried a shirt with a collar bar.  Needless to say, I didn't want to invest in getting one made in the event I didn't like it.  Ended up tracking one down through Macy's. Surprisingly difficult though. Literally the only one in a store. In St. Louis. And it was on a mannequin.  Not sure it was worth the effort.  Thoughts?

Not too long ago, I got a chance to connect in person with Mark and Marlon Austin of Bespoke Couture. I've long admired the sense of style of both of these gentlemen after coming across a photo of them on Tumblr when I first got into blogging and was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they were based right here in St. Louis. After hanging with them a couple of times, I placed an order for my first suit and can't wait for it to arrive.  If you aren't already, I highly recommend getting familiar with them.

The last few weekends here in St. Louis have had sort of a mandatory dress code set in place by the weather. Thermal layers, heavy hooded coats, fur lined boots or rain boots thanks to sub-zero temps, snow or sleet.

Needless to say, the fact that we hit 60 degrees this weekend was almost cause for celebration.  The wife and I hit the Art Museum, took a walk in the park, tried out a new restaurant...all the fun things that crappy weather just kinda sucks out of you.  It was the almost perfect combination of sunshine, with a slight wind to remind you that Spring wasn't still quite here.
