To say I've been disappointed in Suit Supply's marketing tactics of late is a gross understatement at best. Unfortunately, they are one of the few brands that has mastered balancing quality products with reasonable prices and that's being overshadowed by poor marketing decisions. After much thought about intent and impact, their most recent campaign forced me to make the decision to vote with my feet and dollars, so while I have items in my wardrobe from previous purchases as you will see with pretty much every key piece in this post, I'm hoping that they will place more emphasis on the clothes in the future and less on being seen as a misogynistic brand.

Alright, so while my intention wasn't to get on a soap box, I felt the need to be very clear about where I stand on this. Now to your scheduled programming.
These crazy shoes were one of the first pairs I bought when I consciously started getting into this style thing. In retrospect, not the best choice for a starter but I pulled them out of storage recently and well....they're a fun pair for sure. The inspiration for this entire get up literally came from the tiger's eye lapel chain with its chocolate and caramel tones. I then pulled everything else together around it. I haven't been thrifting in quite some time but this tie was one of the great finds that kept me excited about it. |
