Even with the obligatory tailoring factored in, It seemed like a good enough deal for me to try it on especially considering that the only size available was mine (fate or something like it). Cutting to the chase, I head to check out and the whole deal rings up at 40 bucks. While I'm still processing the come up that's about to occur, the associate reminds me that there is a $10 off coupon running that weekend as well if I can pull it up on my phone. I was perfectly willing to spend $100 on a poly-wool blend suit to take a shot at a very different color for me. With tax, I end up spending right at $30. Heck I ended up spending more at the tailor to get it right but I think I'm now at the point where I pretty much automatically add the cost of getting an item tailored to the final cost. If something fits well off the rack, that's just an added bonus.
Rollnecks or turtlenecks for some reason have a bad rap, but I find that there is something refined about them. With the weather turning colder, I've invested in a couple of well made, thick rollnecks that I can just throw a coat over. I also copped a couple of inexpensive ones in a lighter weight fabric like this one. Even though I have gravitated away from it recently, you can't go wrong with black. I received this briefcase from Linjer Co. last week and the sleek minimalist design of it inspired me to put this look together. Check out my full review of the briefcase here.
